Brandt Dick of New Salem has signed a contract to serve as the Superintendent and High School Principal of the Hazelton-Moffit-Braddock School for the 2008-09 school year.

Dick has been the high school principal and athletic director at the New Salem School.

He was the high school math teacher at HMB for the 2006-07 school year.

Supt. Brad Rinas will begin his new duties as Superintendent of the Washburn School on July 1.

He began his service at HMB in the 2001-02 school year.

The HMB School Board held a special meeting May 19 to consider superintendent/high school principal candidates. After completing the last of the interviews, member Paul Van Ningen moved with a second by Kurt Weisser to offer a contract to Dick, who was the board’s first choice. The vote was unanimous.
